No Sleep

There's a little thing called insomnia you get when you get older. Last night I couldn't get to sleep til around 2:30am. Of course I had to be up by 6:30 to see Emily off. I don't do good with a lack of sleep. I have to keep telling myself that the world isn't filled with doom and gloom. I did drink a rock star and it did help til about 2pm. and it's been downhill since. A few things did help me get through the day.....
 1. Christopher and Lesa came by to pick up Jaron and Nathan. Maddox and Asher were in the car and it's always fun seeing them.
2. I bought me a new pair of capris. I haven't bought myself anything for a while so if the world really is full of doom and gloom......at least I'll look pretty good.
 3. Then this afternoon I got these cute pictures of Kingston and Darci. I sure miss them sooooo much!!!!

4. Another good thing.....I don't have to clean the kitchen tonight. Steve is doing it. :) He also brings me diet cokes when I run out and is just letting me veg. So life really isn't bad at all.

Wednesday

I wanted to get these cute pics. of Darci and Kingston on my blog......and Timothy too. :)   Such cute kids!!  I sure miss them a lot!  Thanks for the pics. Jess!!!

When we went to SL last sunday we were following a truck pulling a truck but from a distance it was kinda freaky. It looked like it was going the wrong way.

Maddox's Birthday Party

Yesterday was Maddox's 3rd birthday.  Christopher and Lesa made dinner and had a party for him.

Us and the Sperry's and their friends came over.

Maddox blew out all the candles!!

Then the guys thought it would be fun to throw the big roll of streamers in the air.  Maddox thought it looked like a rainbow.  And they let 4 balloons go.  We watched them....

And watched them till we could hardly see them.

Mother's Day

Mother's day was great.  Yep.....I got a wheel barrel from Steve.  Plus a gift card to Home Depot and a plant.  He really knows my heart.  There was also chocolate given and yummy smelly stuff but I think what I loved the most about Mother's Day was the sweet notes in the cards and talking with my kids.  They are all so amazing and I'm so proud of each one of them!!
Enough of the mushy stuff.....Steve also gave a talk in Sacrament Meeting.  They kinda veered off the mother's day thing and talked more on womanhood/RS/reaching out to strangers.  He did so good!!  We also went to Darrell and Dyann's for dinner.  The meal was great!  And it was fun being able to just hang out and visit.  When we got home I got to talk to my mom for an hour.  Overall.....I think it was the perfect Mother's Day!!

Robot

 This is the robot Jaron and his group made for his robotics class.  They did great in the competition and he's got video of it moving around.......so cool!!!!!

Mud everywhere

 We had a sprinkler pipe leak by our front porch.  This morning Jaron, Nathan and I started working on it to fix it.  I'm thinking that this would take us a couple of hours at most to fix.  I'm always wrong when calculating the time on these things.   We (Nathan) dug the hole.  It ended up being the sprinkler cap came off.  All the parts were ok......just the cap came off.  So we cleaned it and put it back on.  Turned on the sprinklers and it blew off again.  I found the pvc glue so we glued it back on.  Waited and then turned the sprinklers on again.  This time the whole pipe blew off.  Both Jaron and Nathan are digging a foot away looking for the connection.  There is water and mud everywhere.  Even after sucking as much out as we can with the shop vac. 

 We find the pipe, clean it off, glue, attach and wait for the glue to dry.  Turned the sprinklers on again and the cap shot off again.  Our next door neighbor had come over and was running to the store to get parts for his sprinklers and bought us a new cap..... so we re-cut the pipe and glued the new cap on and waited.  It worked with only a very small leak.  Covered everything back up.  Total time......4.5 hours.

Kaos

I haven't blogged because I've been too busy too.  My family has been keeping me busy but also I keep myself very busy too.  It's spring!!  Time to plant and I have the vegetable garden in....tomatoes, 3 different kinds of peppers, onions, pumpkins, peas, beans, zucchini, cucumbers, lettuce and radishes.  Should keep me busy.  That took lots of time but so far everything looks pretty good.  I also tested out the sprinklers.  I have 2 broken pipes to fix.  One of them Comcast busted when they installed the cable.  They said they fixed but you know how that goes.  Then one by the porch that I need to dig  out.  Not sure how that one broke.  Two days ago one of the nurseries I love going to had a sale on their pansies.....one 6 pack for $1.  So I bought 10 of them and planted them all around Emily's garden.  It looks really pretty but I want to get some more.  Also it gets pretty crazy around here with one car and 3 drivers.  Steve takes him car to work and then the 3 of us juggle mine.  It;s nuts with work schedules and activities that they are involved in.  I don't go to the store as much so I am saving money.....just less food in the house.  I think I may have the car this afternoon when Jaron gets off work for an hour.  Off to the grocery store....
