Hey mommers,
So we did get to go to Santa's Village last week and they only had 1 pair of those slippers left in your size. So I grabbed them and bought them. I was going to take a picture of them and send it to you however.. I forgot... but I'll try to remember to get them next week. Anyway they are the gray color, so I hope that's okay but that's the only color that they had. However I did pick up another kinda a slipper in red, I honestly think they are cooler but they aren't hand made like the other ones, but they are cool. OH yeah I almost forgot, last Monday we saw the Northern Lights! It was soo cool. It was honestly super awesome. However, knowing my luck I pulled out my camera to take a picture and the battery died... Dang it.. oh well. Maybe I'll see them again when I've battery. haha. Anyway in other news, I'm getting transferred :D I'm going to Oulu with an Elder Carr. So I'm honestly pretty excited about that! It's a little sad to be leaving this city but, it honestly better that I'll be able to end my mission with a different companion. So that's good. So with the card, is that happening at that end of March? Yeah that's pretty bad timing to be honest.. haha. But oh well what can you do. You'll probably want to remind me again at that end of the month to pull the money out and, it would be good if you could tell me about how many Euros I should pull out. well other than all of that not too much is going on here. It's kinda crazy I'm going into my last transfer... dang.. I'll be flying home before I know it.. that's so weird. Well I hope you have a great week and I love and miss you a ton!!

Hey dad,

Well it sounds like your book has been a pretty big hit. Especially if your getting invited to parties by people you don't even know. That's pretty cool. I was also wondering about your other book, a while ago you said that Pinecone was going to be published, so I was just wondering what was up with that and when it was supposed to come out.

Things here are going pretty good. We did get a transfer and I'm going to be leaving Rovaniemi and going to a city named Oulu, which is the second highest city missionaries can serve in, in Finland. So that's really good and I'm pretty excited about that. It'll be good to spend the last transfer with a different companion.

I got to see the Northern Lights last Monday! That was really cool! It was one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen. I was amazed at how beautiful they were. The way they moved and danced in the air was absolutely amazing. However I was unable to get any pictures because my camera battery died right as I pulled it out to take a picture, which was kind of a bummer. But it was an amazing sight to see.

Survived!!

Do you ever have days where at the end of it, you are so happy to have survived the day? Today was one of those. We woke up at 6:30am to a freezing cold house.....50 degrees. Steve said that around 12:30-1am the heater went out. I called the "heater man" at 7am and ran over to Heather's to borrow a space heater (thank you Heather!!). Then went to go online and the internet was down. I made a couple of calls to comcast and nothing worked. I was cold, frustrated and needed to get out of the house. I got back in time for the "heater man" appointment. He knew exactly what it was and was able to fix it in a half hour.....great relief. Now to tackle comcast again. I called them again and I was disconnecting and reconnecting wires and cables over and over and he said that the modem must be out. After exchanging for a new modem and connecting it, it still didn't work. So over and over I tried reconnecting the cables. Two hours later I finally got a screen and logged on......nothing. Then an hour later the internet magically appeared and it's been on since. Weird but glad we have it again. I'm just glad that I didn't "lose it" today.

I have 2 minutes to get this up. Our electricity is being turned off for 4 hours today. Canal work?...who knows. These are the latest pics of Darci..She is such a sweetie!! I can't wait to meet her. Also my class is over and I'm hoping I don't kill my little seedlings. I'm signing up for a finance class at the middle of March. Times up...gotta go.

Hey so how is everything going back there at home? SO we haven't made it to Santa's village yet, however we should be going out there today... hopefully...we have to catch the 2:10 bus out there or we wont be able to go... so I hoping that we'll have time because if I get transferred (I don't think I'll leave but you never know) this could be my last p-day in Rovaniemi. Soooo.. hopefully We'll have time, but it just depends on how long shopping for food takes and everything. So we'll just wait and see what happens. Other than that though not too much went on this last week. We got a lot of teaches but nothing really too exciting happened. Sorry not too much to report one that. Oh I was thinking before I come home I want to buy you all a bunch of Finnish chocolate, because it's so dang good. SO you can plan on that for when I get home.. Haha, I thought that you would really like that mom. Well anyway that's really about it but I hope that you have a great week and I love and miss you a ton!!

Hey Pops,

I think that would be great if you could start getting everything set up so that I could go to UVU in the Fall. I'm honestly not too sure what kinds of classes I want to take right now but I would like to take some sort of biology class and start getting into all of that. However as of right now I'm not really sure what kinds of other classes I would want to take.

Other than all that, not too much has really gone on this last week. We had a bunch of teaches with people but nothing really too exciting came from them. However the work here is going really well and we are actually finding a lot of good people to teach and who are willing to actually do things. So that is really nice.

The dare

So Christopher dared Jaron not to shave for a month. So far he's made it 2 weeks and isn't sure if he's gonna make it the whole month. I think he looks great.....and with his sidekick Emily. :) We will see how long he can make it.

Maddox and Asher

Yesterday I watched Maddox and Asher while Lesa ran an errand. They are so much fun to hang out with......funny little guys!! I sure love them both!! :)
